When it comes down to the 9th inning and the pitcher is getting tired, it is time to bring in the CLOSER. With just a few pitches the right closer can end the game. The wrong relief pitcher or a tired pitcher can lose the game.
You and I have seen a tired pitcher lose the lead and then the game in the bottom of the ninth inning.
It is the same with sales presentations.
